The Big News!

                Dear Everyone:

So it turns out that I was a little burned out with the million posts I posted at the beginning of July. I just had a lot of adventures from that weekend previous to the 4th of July that I wanted to post before I divulged my not very well kept secret...but alas...I'll share it now!

I'm engaged!

It is one of the most romantic {amazing} proposals anyone could ever dream of. It took place in front of the Washington Monument...

while watching fireworks...

on the 4th of July at our nation's capital!

It was perfect

Confession: I knew he was going to propose beforehand that evening, Jamison left his phone on the blanket and Hudson happened to have sent a text talking about the proposal that evening...for some reason I know all of Jamison's surprises! But I loved it nonetheless.

Hudson supposedly took video of the proposal, but it didn't work. But the video he took after the proposal worked!

Jamison and I are getting married on October 8th in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple!

Hugs, kisses and now a ring,

Breath of Air

So in my last posts it talked about Jamison having to go back to Cedar City, the thought of him leaving was awful! My heart was so broken by the thought of him leaving.

Jamison is the one I want to see every day, go see fireworks with on the 4th of July, spend time with me on my birthday, go sight seeing together to all of these amazing places. I want Jamison!

It turns out that Jamison was offered a job to stay in the office and to do inventory and that with an additional job we could make ends meet and have him stay in Maryland! Jamison and I were so relieved from all of the stress that we were under from making the decision on whether he should stay or go that we both cried, it felt so right!

I am extremely grateful and am so blessed!

One Year. Two Months.

I can't believe Jamison and I have now been dating for 14 months. It is crazy how fast the time has flown by and all of the amazing adventures that we have experienced together.

I came into work the other day to find flowers that had been left in the office for me by Jamison. All of the bouquets I have received from Jamison have been beautiful, but I think that this has been the prettiest bouquet Jamison has ever given me! {Do I say that everytime?} These flowers are beautiful! Although it has now been a week later and I am finally writing about them, I am surprised to say that they still haven't died yet and look like they just bloomed!

I secretly like to smell them, {as well as the other guys in the office} especially the carnations. They smell so good! I get a lot of compliments on my flowers, besides we all know I worked so hard to get them!!!

Thanks for the flowers again Jamison, it was a great way to brighten up the office as well as my day.

Love you.

Good Days Start...

...when you get flowers.

I love waking up and meeting Jamison with him holding flowers in his hands. It is marvelous.

I am loving the color of these flowers...
I am starting to love the color orange and yellow more and more.

Thank you for the flowers Jamison, I always appreciate it when you take the time to tell me that you love me.

I love you.

He wrote he 'loved' me...

...with roses!

I woke up Saturday morning following a trail of rose petals to my living room where Jamison left a surprise for me. I loved it! Happy One Year Jamison!

My new beautiful bouquet of red roses after!
I love you Jamison.

365 days~What a Journey.

Today, is Jamison and I's first anniversary {of dating each other} and boy what an adventure it has been! One year that I hope to never forget, we spent some great times together.

How did Jamison and I first meet?

I happened to be writing a journal the time I started dating Jamison, I will let my first journal entry of Jamison tell the story for this blog entry.

March 29, 2009

Last night I went on a date with Jamison Garner which I absolutely loved! In fact, I’m giddy at the thought of seeing him tonight because I really do like him. What I think is so funny about our date together is that his Dad, Mom and both sisters have wanted me to date Jamison for the longest time now. Jamison’s dad is Brother Garner, my council advisor at the Institute, Sister Garner, I worked with her once cooking spaghetti at the Institute, his older sister Lindsay is on executive council and I’m thinking about moving in with Taylor next semester who is his little sister. I practically know his entire family and yet I have never been able to meet him. I won’t lie, I was really nervous to go out on this date because I was embarrassed by how much I really didn’t know him…

So at the time of the date he picked me up for dinner, which was at Applebee’s, and I had the easiest time talking with him. What is really weird is how many things the both of us have in common which made it really easy to talk to him. {Such as our preferences in movies in that I don’t like chick flicks and horror films and oddly enough something about toothbrushes...}

After dinner we went out to Three Peaks and started a bonfire where the rest of his friends joined us. We were technically still on a date even though no one else there was on a date. There were so many stars it was beautiful! I love Jamison’s smile which he did a lot of around me, he is so funny and I was constantly laughing at his jokes. In a lot of ways he reminds me of Austin because sometimes you laugh more at him then you do at the actual joke. I bet sitting through movies with Jamison is really funny! At the bonfire Jamison was sweet enough to explain to me all of the side stories that were going on so that I wouldn’t be so confused with all of his friend’s inside jokes. I thought it was really nice of him so that I felt included and not absolutely lost and feel left out. Although it was nice to have him around me super close it wasn’t absolutely necessary, on the date I was able to show that I could hold a conversation with others around the fire and still be enjoying myself. But for him to stand there next to me took a lot of patience I think, not very many people would have the patience to do that so it was nice to see him act that way around me.

At the end of the night we were touching arms we were standing so close. I won’t lie if he would have grabbed my hand and held onto it I wouldn’t have minded. He was such a perfect gentleman and there wasn’t one part during the night that I was uncomfortable. He opened all of my doors which was nice, no one ever does that anymore! When it came time to say goodbye I didn’t hug him good night or anything because we were still in the car and he didn’t get out. But he did grab my arm, I wish that I could have done it better though and do a redo but I can’t sadly enough. Hopefully I can make up for it the next time I seem him and that it won't be too awkward! Keep them crossed!

Picture that was taken on our very first date at the bonfire~I love how happy we look!

And Then Life Took a Twist....

...In color! Jamison and I were messing around with different options on his phone camera and took some awesome negative shots.

Just wanted to share with you some of our {Jamison and I's} favorites...

This happens to be my personal favorite :)

My man...looking up fun music videos to watch. {OneRepublic has some weird music videos}.

My jeans and booties. I love how this picture turned out, it makes it look hand drawn!

What a stud. I loved his hair in this one! {Very good looking may I say...}

I did my hair rather different today, it's actually not a braid...its a twist.

Jamison's favorite.

 Maybe because it is so artistic of me {Jamison is an artist.}

I personally like how insane my eyes look...other than that I find this picture rather creepy...!

HRHM:It's Where I Belong

Dear Everyone,

I am meant to have the degree that I have today that being Hotel, Resort, Hospitality and Management. Just saying.

Not meant for art ever,

Auburn

P.S This is the reason why I am not an Art Major like Jamison...

Actually it's not that bad when viewing it through a picture, what this picture fails to show is the narrow walls, fingerprints, fingernail digs, its lack of height, and not being very circular or level in several areas throughout my piece. I'll give it to Jamison, he definetely knows what he is doing when it comes to Ceramics. I blame my lack of skill in the fact that I don't have steady hands, in fact, I don't think I will ever have steady hands{or the patience} to do art!

So although Jamison told me that if graded by his teacher I would have probably have been given a "C" for my job {I think Jamison was being nice with that grade...}it still made for some really fun date nights with Jamison and I get to see Jamison at 'work'! Another plus of giving my ceramics skill a shot? I get to keep my bowl, or is it a cup? A candy dish? Penny holder? Hmmm...

Carnations and Roses....and Tattoos say what?

Oh day after Valentine's Day, what a {surprisingly} wonderful day! Who knew that I would be easy to please...so therefore a bouquet of flowers is all I need for such a special 'romantic' occasion. {Jamison and I celebrated our Valentines Day on Monday}. I had no idea how much I would love getting flowers, in fact, at the beginning of our relationship Jamison has always given me flowers and I have loved every single bouquet {and individual flower}.

Every bouquet has been beautiful and deeply appreciated. It is funny however to watch how much pride Jamison has in picking out his own bouquet, he tends to remind me that he doesn't have a girl help him pick out my flowers and that he 'hand chooses' his 'own' bouquet from the flower section.

Before we ventured off to St. George for the day Jamison and I {a long, long time ago} spent about a $1 buying Ed Hardy tattoos. The weather has been beautiful for the last couple of days so we decided that we would put on our summer gear {a.k.a flip flops} and show 'off' our new tattoos on our feet. {We are kind of weird like that}. It was so nice in St. George and we didn't regret our decision for wearing our gear until we ventured back to cold Cedar City when I took Jamison out to dinner at The Pizza Factory. The pizza was delicious but I think it would have been better if I wasn't overwhelmed with goosebumps!

Who knew that with the combination of flowers, St. George, tattoos, and dinner all with Jamison could make Valentine's Day such a beautiful day to celebrate. {I wish I had Jamison for the other 18 Valentine Day's in my life} Happy Valentine's Day Jamison!

Two Nerds Or Two People In 3D Glasses?

This last weekend Jamison and I went to the 3D movie Avatar, which in my opinion was amazing! At first I was skeptical at the commercials when I saw naked blue people running around in a jungle...but to popular demand from my friends we thought we would take a chance and see if it really was that good. My response? Avatar is awesome! I wouldn't go calling me an Avatar nerd but I thought that between the graphics and the story line that it made it a great movie to go see. Having this be my first 3D movie experience I was shocked to find out that my eyes adjusted well to the 3D glasses, which was a relief. That would have been a super long movie if you couldn't watch it because it gave you a headache. I thought it was interesting how the Avatar's hair would be their connection to so many things, especially with the animals. Also it was cool to watch the unity of the Avatars and that when they were all connected as one that they could make things happens and produce miracles. Just imagine if the world got together and banded with one another, what miracles could we bring about?

So back to the question, nerd or chick in 3D glasses? For now, let's stick with both.

A Letter To You

Dear fellow blogonians,

I felt that I should introduce one important man in my life and ~for those who just look at the pretty pictures~ he is the man who happens to be in almost every picture in here. So to stop any confusion that may result with pictures of close encounters with one another this is Jamison Garner. I love him! Some say we are an adorable couple, others say we are two peas in a pod, personally I like to think of him as the peanut butter to my jelly sandwich...but you are right, that is too weird. For correct classification however, this is a teeny shout out to the Garner family who helped create the name... Jamison + Auburn = JaBurn. Although, for your information we still like being known as an adorable couple...just so you know.

Just hugs and kisses for now,

auburn
